Blogging Made Easy: Share Your Voice for $25 a Month (and Earn 80% Back)

Have you ever wanted to start a blog, but the thought of hosting, plugins, themes and WordPress settings stopped you cold?

I have good news. Blogging on the new Builder by HBA platform from The Home Business Academy is genuinely easy, because AI does the technical work for you. You share your voice. The AI makes it look great.

In fact, I created this entire post exclusively with Claude AI. I mostly just spoke my story and what I wanted to say out loud, typed a few things here and there, and Claude did the rest: writing, formatting, and placing it right here on my blog.

And here's the part that surprises people: when you share this platform with others, you can earn 80% commissions. In other words, you can earn back 80% of the cost of every blogging subscription you refer.

First, What Is a Blog?

A blog (short for "weblog") is a website, or a section of one, where you publish articles called posts. The newest posts appear at the top. Blogs started out as online diaries, and today people use them to share stories, advice, news and expertise, or to build a business.

Here's how a blog works:

  • You create posts on topics you care about, from personal stories to how-to guides.
  • A publishing system (like WordPress, Wix or Squarespace) puts them online without you writing code.
  • Categories, tags and comments keep posts organized and let readers respond.
  • Readers find you through search engines and social media.
  • You can earn money through ads, affiliate links, or your own products. My situation is a little unique: through my affiliate relationship with The Home Business Academy, I earn money simply by referring others, without running ads or creating products of my own.

What Does Blogging Usually Cost?

You can start a blog for free on sites like Blogger or WordPress.com's free plan. The catch is an address like yourname.blogspot.com, limited design control, and limits on how you can earn.

Once you want your own domain and real control, here's what the popular options cost as of this month:

  • WordPress.com: paid plans run $4 to $45 a month if you pay a year up front, or $9 to $70 a month if you pay month to month.
  • Squarespace: about $19 to $99 a month billed yearly, or $25 to $139 billed monthly.
  • Self-hosted WordPress (e.g., Bluehost): the low starter prices jump at renewal. Bluehost's starter plan renews at about $10 to $12 a month, and its managed WordPress hosting at about $18 to $25 a month. Then you add a domain, often a premium theme ($50 to $150), and email marketing software ($20 to $30 a month or more).

And the money isn't the only cost. Self-hosted WordPress means learning hosting, plugins, updates and security. That's a lot for a beginner who just wants to write.

Builder by HBA: $25 a Month, Everything Included

Builder by HBA is $25 a month and available worldwide. The software is all included on the platform. There's no separate hosting bill, no plugins to buy, and no themes to install. A custom domain is generally about $11.99 a year.

Better yet, you don't need to know anything technical. As this post shows, if you can talk or type, you can blog.

Why This Is a Big Shift for The Home Business Academy

Since 2016, The Home Business Academy has focused on people building online businesses, many from home. That meant learning to design pages that capture the attention of prospects looking for extra income, and then learning advertising to bring visitors to those pages. Advertising alone can be quite a rabbit hole.

Blogging is different. You don't have to be a marketer. You simply share your voice, and if you'd like, you can monetize your voice too.

Bonus: Membership Sites Without the Big Price Tag

You can build much more than a blog on the platform, including password-protected membership sites. A membership site is a gated area where members log in to reach exclusive content, courses, downloads, or a private community.

Those are usually expensive. For example, Kajabi, a popular all-in-one platform, now costs about $143 to $399 a month billed yearly, or $179 to $499 month to month. The WordPress route means hosting plus membership plugins that commonly run $200 to $400 a year, and often separate video hosting and email software too.

I've built my own membership site on Builder by HBA, and it's included in my $25 a month. I'm still adding to it, but it's up and running, with free video lessons, a community, and more courses on the way. Here's a quick look:

More Than One Website, Still $25

Here's another pleasant surprise. Your $25 a month isn't limited to one website. Besides ChaseSwift.com, I have three other websites on the platform, and I'm considering starting blogs on those sites too.

That opens up some fun possibilities. For example, a husband and wife can each have their own blog on their own domain, at about $11.99 a year per domain, and blog completely independently. The total platform cost for the couple is still just $25 a month, whether they run two blogs or more.

The 80% Difference

Here's what makes HBA truly unique. The platform is run so efficiently that it pays 80% of incoming subscriptions back to its 2,000+ affiliates, like me, who share it.

None of the other providers I've mentioned pay 80%. Some cost about the same as HBA, some a little more, and some a lot more. But price isn't the real key. The real key is the 80% commission you earn when others want a blog and want to share their voice, just like you.

Do the math: 80% of a $25 subscription is $20 a month. Refer just two people who want to blog, and your own $25 is more than covered.

And you don't need complicated sales funnels to make this work (although they're available on the platform if you want them). You're free to write about whatever you're passionate about. You can simply:

  1. Blog about the things that matter to you.
  2. Share your posts with people on social media.
  3. Encourage them to start a blog and share their voice too.

As more people join you, you can move into a profitable stage where your commissions far surpass your cost.

Built by People Just Like Us

The Home Business Academy's cofounders, Paul Hutchings and Mike Hobbs, are people like you and me. They wanted an online opportunity that could pay passive income, without having to work at it intensely every day, and residual income, meaning payments that keep arriving every month.

For years, they tried affiliate programs and network marketing companies, and again and again, those programs crashed and burned. Finally, they looked at each other and realized that to be the change they wanted to see, they had to build it themselves.

That's why they're so committed to the 80% commissions. They cut costs wherever they can and have found significant savings throughout the platform. And they share The Home Business Academy using the very same 80% commissions you and I earn, so they're passionate about keeping it that way for everyone who wants this opportunity. It's been working since 2016.

Every Subscription Helps Feed a Hungry Child

There's one more thing I love about The Home Business Academy. Paul and Mike donate a portion of the company's revenue to Feed My Starving Children, an honorable nonprofit that provides meals to hungry and starving children in countries around the world.

That means every subscription paid to The Home Business Academy, including yours, helps put food in front of a child who needs it. Together, HBA members have provided over 462,000 days of meals to children who would otherwise go hungry.

Here's a short look at the work Feed My Starving Children does. I simply asked Claude to retrieve this video and embed it right here on my blog, so you can watch it as you read along:

Ready to Share Your Voice? Start Here

I put together an information page at chaseswift.com/voice that shows you how to get a blog of your own. Sign up there and you'll get a series of five short emails that walk you through the whole process, step by step. Here's a quick look:

Share your voice. Let AI handle the writing.

My free 5-day email series: the 3-step method I use to turn rough notes into finished posts, how the AI does the writing, what to write about when you think you have nothing to say, and exactly what the $25 a month covers.

Keep Your Cost at Zero (and Come Out Money Ahead)

Here's one more important advantage of working with me. I have a free method that pays me about $450 a month from three legal online sweepstakes sites. There's no deposit and no credit card required.

That's many times more than the $25 a month for your blog. So with this method, your blogging can effectively cost you nothing, and you can come out money ahead, even before you refer a single person.

And here's a bonus for couples: a husband and wife can both use the free Sweeps Coins method, each with their own accounts. Together, a couple could bring in around $800 to $900 a month in free money, with no credit card required, as long as each of you qualifies under the sites' rules.

One important rule for couples: each of you must use your own separate devices, and you can never share them, not even once. If both accounts are ever used on the same phone, tablet or computer, both accounts can be closed.

It's available in 36 U.S. states, and I explain it all at chaseswift.com/vgw:

Want the Full Story of The Home Business Academy?

If you'd like to see the bigger picture, the Turnkey System tells the story of The Home Business Academy and walks through all of its products. They're all useful, and many people find them extremely helpful for building an online business.

But you don't need all of them. You can simply choose the blogging platform, Builder by HBA, and start sharing your voice.

That said, one upgrade is well worth considering: HBA Premium. Premium is a separate subscription that adds AI tools above and beyond what comes with Builder by HBA. These tools can create images, write even more emails and blog posts, and improve the quality of your blog immensely.

Premium also includes something I find invaluable: live Zoom calls with the cofounders, Mike Hobbs and Paul Hutchings, Monday through Friday at 11 AM Eastern. Every weekday you can ask Mike or Paul any question you have and get their advice directly, from the two men who built this system, made the 80% commissions work, and have been helping members succeed since 2016.

And because every HBA subscription pays an 80% commission, you can multiply your income by sharing not just one, but up to three of their amazing digital products:

  • Let's Goal: $10 a month (you earn $8 per referral)
  • Builder by HBA: $25 a month (you earn $20 per referral)
  • HBA Premium: $125 a month (you earn $100 per referral)

That's $160 a month for all three. When someone you refer joins all three, you earn $128 a month from that one person.

The Bottom Line

Blogging doesn't have to be expensive or technical anymore. For $25 a month, you get the platform, the AI help, and the chance to earn back 80% of what others pay when you share it. Add my free sweepstakes method, and your blog can pay for itself many times over.

If you've ever had something to say, now is a wonderful time to start saying it.
